Police Arrested 8 Notorious kidnappers that has been terrorising along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on the weekend, has arrested Eight notorious kidnappers terrorizing Abuja-Kaduna freeway.

Those arrested consist of the leader, Adamu Mamman aka Master, who is from Amana village in Kaduna State, his 2nd in command, Ali Rabo aka Blacky from Liman Ibada village, Kaduna State, Umar Antijo, from Rijana village, Shehu Idris Shagari, Awwalu Ahmadu aka Mota, who is a receiver of stolen items.


A police supply stated that Shehu is the 1/3 in command and the group’s armorer at the same time as Babangida Abdullahi , Usman Abdulmumin and Ahmad Abdullahi have been described as the gang’s foot infantrymen.

He said that sequel to the court cases, directed Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police to deployed his men along side the ones from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) to the area.
He stated that when weeks of investigation on the intelligence report recovered, the team arrested the 8 suspects from their hideouts.

He said:

    “The suspects admitted that they without a doubt kidnapped some people at the Abuja-Kaduna throughway. They stated that that they determined to go to see their respective households of their villages after releasing their sufferers earlier than they had been arrested.
    “Some of them have been arrested at Maraban Jos, Anguwa Pama, Sabon Gayan and Rijana village all in Kaduna State. All the suspects arrested have confessed to numerous kidnapping of motorist along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
    “They admitted kidnapping DSP Munir connected to Airwing Force Headquarters Abuja, a retired Police Sergeant, a driving force to the Chairman Senate Committee on Police Affairs, as well as 5 college students of the Amadu Bello University (ABU) and Nuhu Bamalli University.
    “The abducted students have been diagnosed as Idris Goga, Simon Terna, Kazzah Bulus, Ibrahim Kalin, and Augustine Climax. Augustine turned into become later killed by means of the crowd and his corpse dumped in a river by means of the kidnappers.
