Ohaneze Ndigbo Urged Igbos to forget about the reality of achieving Biafra
Following the Inauguration of the state and local Government committee of the Abia state Chapter, The President general of the Igbo Socio Cultural groups Ohaneze Ndigbo said the reforming of the policy remains the position of Ndigbo as the debate about the future of the country.
The group has countered the demands of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB). The IPOB group who is led by Nnamdi Kanu passed a Referendum to the Federal Government that would see the birth of the Biafran Nation, in the south east and some south south region in the country. With this Mr Nwodo insisted that this would not be an easy thing to achieve and urged them to forget about Biafra and focus on restructuring.
He also said that the Igbos are no longer happy with the way they are being marginalized in the country and we should seek a more peaceful way of addressing the issue.
He spoke about the youth and how they have expressed their anger and said it is a justified action.
The Ohaneze Ndigbos has however, criticized the presidency following the speech made by Buhari during his speech on Monday, saying that he has refused to take responsibility for the various challenges in the country
