Suspected ritualist arrested with dead baby in Ogun

A 42-yrs-old suspected ritualist, Emmanuel Olusola has been captured by officers of the Ogun State Police Command with a dead kid.
Olusola was captured at Sapade Garage while trying to board a bus.

The suspect had a polyethylene bag with him and therefore the reek from the bag raised the suspicion of individuals around.

The police at Isara were alerted and therefore the Divisional Officer (DPO) Yusuf Taiwo, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), junction rectifier some men to the motor park, wherever they conducted search.

When the baby’s body was discovered, the suspect was aforesaid to own told the police he was transporting it to Lagos for burial.

Confirming the arrest on Monday, the command’s representative, Abimbola Oyeyemi, AN Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), the suspect aforesaid he was coming back from Offa in Kwara State and taking the baby’s remains to Lagos.

Oyeyemi said: “Not happy with the claim, he was taken to Isara Division for more investigation. The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the case be transferred to the killing unit for correct investigation.”
